How do I join the Cockburn Hawks?
When does the season run?
The season typically starts pre-season in February, with games in March through to August with finals in September to wrap up.
Juniors typically have the middle weekend of school holidays off.
Where do the Hawks play?
The season is played across Cockburn Ice Arena and Perth Ice Arena in Western Australia
What teams are available?
The Hawks have teams available in juniors from 9U, 11U, 13U, 15U and 17U. We also have seniors from Premier League all the way down to Division 4 for new starters.
How good do I need to be?
Typically, if you can stay upright, stop when you need to, and turn in a stable fashion, we can find a place for you to play. If you need help getting to that stage, Cockburn Arena Ice Hockey Academy (cockburnicearena.com.au) can help you get there!
How much does it cost?
Typically, a season of ice hockey will cost you up to $250 in league registration, and $800-$1500 depending on how much training time your team gets for the season fees. Over 90% of the fees go directly to paying for the ice time.
How do I sign up?
Every year around November through to January, we will have an Intent to Register form available to fill in which gives us the capability to identify the number of teams. Signing this gives us the capability to fit everyone a team.
